Modding for the Masses
Every iPod firmware you could possibably need (minus the Shuffle firmwares) can be obtained at this link.

these files, but I did compile a list for you guys to use.

Installation:
Change your main menu from settings, so it would look like that:
Music
Photos
Extras
Settings
Shuffle Songs
Now Playing
1# Resources and images:
Open iPW and change Edit Mode to iPod.
Press load button.
Go to Pictures tab and press load all, then search for the images directory and load.
Go to Layout tab and select Scheme Layout, click Load All and search for Layout directory and load.
Now select Font Types from dropdown menu.
Press load all and search for Font Types directory and load.
Then go to Strings tab, change Lang block to 24 and press Load List button
Load the Lang-24.txt file.
Now go to Fonts Tab
Select Index: 43, click load bitmap and open fonts directory, load Myriad Set Medium.bmp
Click load metrics, load Myriad Set Medium-43.ifm
Now press Write to iPod and wait until it finishes, then Eject and enjoy!!!
2# Firmware file:
Open iPW and change Edit Mode to iPod.
Press Open Firmware button
Browse for V-Hack_1file and load it.
Press Write to iPod and wait until it finishes, then Eject and enjoy!!!

Well the iPod touch used to be a pain to jailbreak, first you had to go from whatever firmware you had to 1.1.1 and jailbreak each level up, sometimes if forgetting a step repeating each thing again. Well. Not anymore. An awesome dude made a great program called ZiPhone. Jailbreaking your iPod touch is an ideal step to take when you own one. Doing this gives you many more things to do with it. You can download themes, and use 3rd party apps on the iPod. There is no way to brick your iPod doing this, and the outcome is great.

Hello F-Default viewer. The original background hack was released on February 11th, 2007, by Kingstone and DJ of iPodWizard. The original files are still available for download, to see how much it has improved since then. People think a mediocre looking iPhone interface for the iPod is a big deal now.
