Well the iPod touch used to be a pain to jailbreak, first you had to go from whatever firmware you had to 1.1.1 and jailbreak each level up, sometimes if forgetting a step repeating each thing again. Well. Not anymore. An awesome dude made a great program called ZiPhone. Jailbreaking your iPod touch is an ideal step to take when you own one. Doing this gives you many more things to do with it. You can download themes, and use 3rd party apps on the iPod. There is no way to brick your iPod doing this, and the outcome is great.

To use jailbreak your iPod touch with ZiPhone follow these steps
- Restore your iPod to 1.1.3 in iTunes.
- Download ZiPhone and install it to your PC or Mac machine.
- Run the program and choose the 3rd option down “Jailbreak”.
- Let the program work its magic, some black text will scroll on your iPod.
- After about 50 seconds your iPod will be jailbroke to 1.1.3
You are done! If it worked correctly you will now see a link to the guy’s blog on your dash, as well as an icon to a program called Installer
