Mohammed - it will not. The program is for the 5G and the 5.5G iPod. You have neither. You have the classic, also known as the 6G.

Bottom line, Cupertino shafted you. Enjoy your iPod classic.

Ok. I am confused. I have a shiny black 80gb video ipod. I noticed that there are 2 different 80gb video ipods. It looks like the matte colored black 80gb ipod may be 6gen while the shiny black 80gb ipod may be 5.5gen? I dont wanna mess my ipod up, but I would really like to try this. Can someone please confirm if the one I have is, in fact, a 5.5 or a 6? Can I tell by serial number or software version #?

Ive tried to load the firmware but I keep geting this error message. I must be doing something wrong. Ive never tried something like this before.

ok…so when I try to click the DL link I get some kind of screen that asks for a username and password? I am using firefox and DAP.

SpGuy : there is an issue with my hotlinking protection and download accelereators. So just don’t use it to download!

hey why are the mod gfx allways so poor, is their anyway to have better compression gfx like the default ipod o.s, i would like to use these mods, but hey i like my gfx shiny… yu guys are doing a great job…

I couldn’t download the 5G firmware. Whenever I click on it, it pops up a different page w/ a whole bunch of letters and words…

Hi, I had been tryed to load into my iPod 5.5G but My iPod has been broken. The iPod’s face turned to black and there is some massages. I don’t know what I should do. Please some one help me. The massages like this;

Rockbox boot loader
Version:2,0
IPOD version: 0xFFFFFFFF
TOSHIBA MK8010GAH
Loading Rockbox…
Error!
Can’t load rockbox, ipod:
File not found
Hold MENU+SELECT to reboot
then SELECT+PLAY for disk mode

Althought, I’ve already tryed last two senteces for reboot and disk mode, there were nothing perticurarily.

I can’t save my menu settings after applying this theme. I have to keep setting language and main menu options each time my ipod boots up. How can I fix this?
